Is a tulip on of the first signs of spring?

My crocuses and grape hyacinths have bloomed already, but my tulips are a bit behind. There are a number of early blooming plants; some that will poke their heads up through the snow. I’ll pass along a link that shows some different early blooming plants.

Is a tulip on of the first signs of spring?
No the flower buds come first. Then he flower.

How can tulips be first all the time.

I don't think so.
Reply:sure it could be but there are day lillies and there are so many flowers that come out at spring. i mean there are lillies that come out in the woods of michgian. they are pretty and there are so many types that come out so its not just one type its all ove them they say some places start in may but there are more that come out before we live in texas and we've had flowers since march or so and its been climbing roses but its not spring yet. we've had warm weather now.
Reply:Crocus come out before tulips and so do daffodils and Jonquils.
Reply:yes bulbs and blossoms are some of the first signs of spring as well as the warming of the weather
Reply:My first sign of spring was my purple crocus. Not too long after has come the daffodil. Such pretty color after such a dull dreary winter!
Reply:Yes, tulips and daffodils let us know that early spring has arrived. But we can still get a late frost. Daylilies come after the daffs and tulips. Ahhhh, spring!
