I reveived a potted tulip for Valentine's Day - how do I preserve the bulb for replanting?

HERE IS HOW TO DO THAT

I reveived a potted tulip for Valentine's Day - how do I preserve the bulb for replanting?
treat it as you would any other house plant, keep it watered and give it sun. I'm assuming you live in a climate that has a snow and such, so when the crocus and daffodils come out you can put it in the ground.
Reply:When it is done blooming and the foliage begins to die off, cut it off. Keep in garage until you are able to put it in the ground outside. It will grow year after year.
Reply:you have to let the leaves grow to store next seasons bloom , dont let it dry out or it will die , in the spring plant it outside and next spring it should come back hopefully with a bloom after growing for a season to get it established
Reply:When the tulip is dead, just take the bulb from the pot and put it in a dry cupboard, in a cardboard box with some paper, and replant it next fall.
