I planted a tulip tree over 5 years ago and it still hasn't bloomed. Can anyone tell me why?

It has grown very well each year and has leaves each year. It gets direct sun and good drainage.

It is lacking certain nutrients to bloom. A good fertilizer (possible ash) will encourage blooming. Get your soil tested (testing kits are available at nurseries and home centers), it might need acid, also. It won't take much for you to find out and you'll be glad you did.

Good Luck!
Reply:if it has been pruned recently within the last year, then i would try feeding it with a food for trees, look for ones for flowering trees if available if not then an all purpose tree food will work perfectly. prune the tree if it hasn't been done. if you don't know how then hire a company to do it for you. and shop around for the best one for you. not necessarily the cheapest price is the best. ask your friends, neighbors and your family who they use and if they liked them and would they use them again
Reply:I think it has something to do with the soil. My neighbors and I have the same problem.
