Does a tulip have spiny/thorny stems or leaves?

No. It grows from a fall-planted bulb with smooth leaves and no thorns. If you see thorns it is not a tulip at all.

Reply:None that I've ever seen do but there are lot of different varieties. Still, I wouldn't think there are any with thorns.
