Tulip growth rate?

How fast does it take for tulips to grow? After 1 month how large should they be?

Tulip growth rate?
As a general rule, tulips only blossom in the spring (usually around late March or early April depending on where you live). So if you planted tulips a month ago, and nothing happened then this was what was supposed to happen. Hopefully they will grow next year, in the spring.

If you want tulips in the spring, then you generally need to plant tulip bulbs in the fall, sometime around September or October (after most of the summer heat has gone, but before the ground freezes). This way the Tulips will remain dormant through out the winter and then blossom naturally when the weather is just right. After a few weeks the entire plant will die off, and you usually need to plant more bulbs for the next year.

I hope this helps.
