Tulip Season?

My girlfriend loves tulips, and I wanted to get her some? Can you buy tulips from a florist anytime of the year, or when do they come into season?

Any romantic ideas to use with these tulips would also be helpful!

Tulip Season?
get her some tulips to plant... they are so easy to take care of and season after season you get more tulip bulbs to plant... they even go well in a large planter giving them space.
Reply:Yes, you can get tulips at most florists year round as they have them shipped in from suppliers that grow them year round. I agree, they are a romantic alternative to roses, and they smell and look great. They usually bloom in the early spring as they tend to like cool weather.
Reply:I've seen tulips at different times of the year.

They bloom in the spring if planted outdoors,

and squirrels seem to love eating the bulbs.

Tulips do not do well in some areas, and might not

bloom again the second year.
