Can i still plant tulip bulbs?

Can i still plant tulip bulbs?
Sure, you can plant them as soon as the soil can be worked. Just don't expect them to bloom this spring. They need to be in the ground over winter before they will bloom for you.

Tulips are typically planted in the fall, and the bulbs will actually begin to grow roots and establish themselves so they'll have the strength to grow and bloom in the spring.

Plant them as soon as you can, otherwise they'll just dry up and be useless.
Reply:Plant a few of them and see what happens. If the bulbs are healthy, they should sprout into nice tulips. If you have good luck with the first small planting, then plant the rest of the bulbs.
Reply:Get them in the ground immediately. They will struggle to catch up and the results won't be great but give it a go.
Reply:Yes you can but.

They will appear next year not this year.

You might want to draw a diagram of where you put each color.

I once circled a flag pole with them. here is what i done.

I started with 50 red ones at the outside edge of the bed.

Then put 50 white in about a foot from the first ring.

Then put 50 blue one in the next circle in.

It took two years to get them to all bloom at the same time

but it was worth the work. American Legion Posts and Veterans Of Foreign Posts came and took pictures of it.

I am a Veteran and done it to show my love for this Country.
