How do you pot a bloomed tulip.?

I received a tulip from someone's gardern. He potted it with the soil from his garden in a cup. Now, I want to pot it until the fall.

How do you pot a bloomed tulip.?
is it done blooming? Then you let it die off and you put the bulb in a brown paper bag in your refrigerator for a while. Plant it in the fall to bloom in the spring. They need a period of cool dormancy to bloom again.
